Overview

The EMAX Hawk Apex is a 5-inch FPV racing drone (BNF) built around an STM32F722 flight controller and a 4-in-1 25A ESC, and configured for HD FPV using the HDZero Whoop VTX system with a RunCam Nano HDZero camera. The Hawk Apex series focuses on race handling where video clarity and low-latency response are critical.

Key Features

  • HD FPV for racing: HDZero VTX system designed for low latency at high speeds, helping pilots react quickly to obstacles. HD clarity is intended to make small, thin objects easier to see at longer distances.
  • Power system options (series): The Hawk Apex platform is presented with “3.5" & 5"” variants and “4S and 6S options,” aimed at different racing course needs (travel-friendly/tight courses vs. longer straights and higher top speed).
  • Prop/motor platform (as described for the series): 3.5" prop setup described on 2004 brushless motors for faster response and torque; 5" prop setup described to maximize efficiency and motor top-end.
  • Frame design: Lighter-weight frame design described with aerospace-grade carbon fiber to maintain strength while keeping the drone race-ready.
