ArtLynk Protocol & Firmware Compatibility Notes
ArtLynk is described as a low-latency, long-range communication protocol for drones. It is stated to provide real-time HD video at about 60ms latency (glass to glass). The platform is described as using the Artosyn AR803X chipset and being KAP supported, and as an open FPV ecosystem with broad compatibility.
- Firmware requirement for third-party ArtLynk devices (example given: HGLRC Draco): BETAFPV devices should be updated to V2.0.5 or later.
- Air unit update method: update via the ground station; ensure ground station and air unit are on the same firmware version before updating the air unit.
- V2.0.5 is stated as not compatible with V1 versions (V1.0.36 / V1.0.44).
| Ground Station | Air Unit | Actions Required |
| V1 | V1 | Update both to V2 |
| V1 | V2 | Update ground station to V2 |
| V2 | V1 | Downgrade ground station to V1, then update both to V2 |
| V2 | V2 | Ready to use |

Details

The BetaFPV Aquila20 brushless whoop quadcopter pairs a P1 analog air unit with a BT3.0 smart battery for 2S propulsion.

BetaFPV P1 Air Unit HD VTX supports 1080p@60fps HD video with 60ms latency and up to 200mW transmission power.

A compact dual-stick remote controller gives reliable, hands-on control for FPV drone flights.

BetaFPV S Mode and M Mode offer different flight paths for practicing control through gates and obstacles.

A BetaFPV micro whoop can be practiced indoors around a compact RCDrone foam cylinder obstacle for controlled flight drills.

The compact ducted FPV drone uses 2S propulsion with listed stats of 10 minutes flight time, 9 m/s max speed, and 30–40% hover throttle.

BetaFPV’s all-new frame and ducted design help protect the quad during practice flights and close-quarters flying.

The 1100mAh flight battery includes a battery level indicator and low-battery alert for easier power checks before takeoff.

BetaFPV ArtLynk Protocol components include a compact receiver board, FPV camera, and antennas for a tidy build layout.

The BetaFPV patch-style antenna includes a small coax lead with a micro connector for compact installs.
