Overview
The BetaFPV LAVA II 2S Battery is a LiHV battery option in 580mAh or 680mAh, designed to deliver higher discharge performance and longer runtime in a compact form factor. It features a 95C C-rate and uses an XT30 main connector with an 18AWG silicone wire lead, plus a JST-XH2.54 balance/charge plug.

Z-Folding Process
The Z-Folding process is described as using low internal resistance for efficient high-current discharge and 0.2V higher voltage under load compared to wound cells. It is also described as achieving 5% higher energy density within the same volume and extended cycle life, with design flexibility for size/shape customization.
Warning
- Fully charge the new battery before use.
- Only use a charger designed for lithium polymer/Li-ion battery, and never leave the battery unattended during charging.
- Keep the battery away from flammable materials while charging.
- Never overcharge the battery. Maximum voltage: LiPo 4.2V per cell; LiHV 4.35V per cell.
- Never discharge the battery to below 3V per cell under load.
- Do not store fully charged batteries for more than 3 days. For long-term storage, maintain 3.8V to 3.9V.
- Do not disassemble, crush, short circuit, or expose to flame or other sources of ignition.
- Do not use batteries that are deformed or swollen.

Details

BetaFPV’s LAVA II 2S LiHV pack is built for compact FPV builds that need strong punch and longer runtime.

The 580mAh version keeps a slim 13.5mm profile, with XT30 power lead plus a JST-XH balance connector for charging.

Choose the 680mAh option for extra capacity in the same thickness, with the same XT30 + JST-XH connector setup.

Discharge testing at 33A compares the 580mAh LAVA II 95C pack against the previous 75C battery.

Under a 39A load, the 680mAh LAVA II pack maintains a steady discharge curve for high-current FPV flying.

Z-Folding processed cells are designed to improve energy density, power output, thermal management, and cycle life.
