Overview
The RadioMaster ERS-RC01 is an RPM-CDI sensor (gasoline engine tachometer) designed to measure engine RPM by connecting directly to a CDI speed output. It detects engine speed and transmits RPM data to a compatible ExpressLRS PWM receiver through the CRSF interface, then forwards telemetry to an EdgeTX radio for real-time monitoring. As part of the ERS sensor family, it also supports pass-through expansion for daisy-chaining additional telemetry modules.

Key Features
- Accurate engine RPM: Real-time monitoring of engine RPM data
- ExpressLRS integration: Sends RPM data to compatible ExpressLRS receivers via CRSF
- Daisy chain expansion: Linear daisy-chained sensors for scalable telemetry
- Compact & lightweight: 28 x 12 x 8 mm, 6.0 g
- Plug-and-play workflow: Simple connection to CDI output for fast setup
Receiver Compatibility
Plug-and-play compatible receivers
- ER6 2.4GHz ExpressLRS PWM Receiver
- ER8 2.4GHz ExpressLRS PWM Receiver
- ER8G ExpressLRS PWM Receiver
- ER8GV ExpressLRS PWM Receiver
Using sensors with non plug-and-play PWM ExpressLRS receivers
Most PWM ExpressLRS receivers are compatible. Receivers without a dedicated UART port require reconfiguration to support external sensors by reassigning two PWM output pins as a serial UART (one TX and one RX) via the receiver Web UI (WiFi mode) or the ExpressLRS LUA script.
For receivers that only provide standard servo pins, an optional adapter cable can convert the sensor’s UART connector to two standard servo plugs (TX and RX).

Sensor Configuration & Telemetry Logging
To configure the sensor and view telemetry on an EdgeTX radio, install the RadioMaster Sensor Configurator LUA. It supports sensor setup, correct telemetry display, and data logging.
- Connect the radio to a Mac or PC in USB-SD mode
- Copy LUA files to:
