Overview
The iFlight GM5208-12 Encoder Combo Set adds encoders to each brushless gimbal motor so the gimbal control system can track motor position more accurately for improved stabilization and better power efficiency. In a 3-axis stabilization gimbal, passive inertial stabilization requires careful camera balance on the pan/tilt/roll axes, while active stabilization uses sensors to measure motion and counteract it using motors on each axis—encoders support this active control by improving position feedback.
