Overview
iFlight GM5208-12 is a brushless gimbal motor with encoder, designed for direct-drive camera stabilization setups. The GM52 series is intended for DSLR-sized camera payloads such as CANON 5D MARKII / MARKIII and RED Epic & DSLR sized gear, with a stated load torque of 1800–2500 g·cm.
Brushless direct-drive gimbal stabilization using BLDC motors follows a similar operating principle to hobby servo-based gimbals, while using a direct-drive motor approach.
Key Features
- GM5208-12 brushless gimbal motor with AS5048A encoder (aluminum case)
- 12N/14P motor configuration
- Hollow shaft design (specified OD/ID)
- Clockwise steering (axle extension)
- 3–5S working voltage range
