Overview

MAD 12S 23Ah drone solid state lithium-ion battery (semi-solid battery) designed for high energy density, long cycle life, and improved safety. The solid electrolyte design targets smaller size, higher energy density, and longer service life for UAV power systems.

Key Features

  • Material innovation
    • Add ionic conductor additives to the electrode sheet to improve ionic conductivity and high-rate performance under low electrolyte infiltration conditions.
    • Add lithium source additives to the pole film to improve the first effect of the material.
    • Use a self-developed double lithium salt electrolyte formula, considering high/low temperature performance, circulation, and other electrochemical properties.
  • Design optimization
    • Material ratio adjustment: adjust the ratio of active materials (e.g., high nickel and lithium cobalt in the positive electrode, and silicon in the negative electrode) to improve safety, cycle life, and energy density.
    • Optimal density: optimize compaction density and particle size to reduce volume expansion in the late cycle.
    • Custom auxiliary: optimize the weight of auxiliary materials (e.g., earpieces and aluminum-plastic film) to further enhance cell energy density per customer requirements.
  • Safety improvement
    • Surface flame-retardant coating: diaphragm surface uses flame-retardant additive coating to improve safety performance.
    • Electrolyte flame-retardant: adding flame-retardant additives to the electrolyte reduces the risk of spontaneous combustion of the cell.
    • Semi-solid system: semi-solid system used to help ensure battery cell safety.
  • Increased protection
    • Lateral reinforcement: four 0.5mm thick FR4 fiberglass panels are used outside the battery pack; protection capability increased by 87%.
    • Bottom strengthening: 2mm thick EVA shock-absorbing foam is used at the bottom to cushion impact of the battery compartment when the UAV accelerates rapidly.
  • Appearance optimization
    • Square leveling / strengthened pack: hard pack form with square/flat appearance and accurate outline size control.
    • Cables routed in fixed positions: fixed-position cable outlet area at the top helps keep cable routing controlled and the appearance smooth.

Safety & Handling

Battery storage conditions and precautions

  1. Keep away from flammable materials when storing.
  2. Do not disassemble the battery.
  3. If the battery has been charged and is damaged, dispose of it promptly and do not use it again.
  4. If the battery emits odor, heat, discoloration, deformation, or any abnormality during use, storage, or charging, immediately remove it from the device or charger and disable it.

Battery charging conditions and precautions

  1. Do not charge at a current greater than 2C.
  2. Please use a qualified smart charger.
  3. Someone must be present during the charging process.
  4. Keep away from flammable materials when charging; overcharging may cause serious safety hazards.
  5. Do not connect the positive and negative electrodes together; this may cause a short circuit and serious safety hazards.

Scope of non-free repair services

  1. Battery damage and injury caused by failure to operate according to the prompts shall be borne by the user.
  2. Battery damage caused by artificial overcharge and overdischarge cannot be replaced.
