The CubeMars GL40 II KV82.5 Gimbal Motor is designed for high-end gimbal systems and precision applications such as gimbals, radars, and autonomous driving systems. Upgraded from the original GL series, the GL II series features an advanced electromagnetic and structural design that delivers smoother operation, enhanced control, and greater compatibility.

A key enhancement is the new hollow shaft driver board, supporting both CAN and PWM communication, enabling flexible integration into different systems. The hollow shaft diameter has been increased from 8 mm to 12.5 mm to accommodate more slip rings, while the overall motor diameter has been slightly reduced to 46.1 mm for improved installation adaptability.

The cogging torque has been reduced by 30%—from 1 cN·m to just 0.7 cN·m—enhancing low-speed servo performance. Three control modes—MIT mode, Velocity-Position mode, and Velocity mode—allow the GL40 II to meet diverse application requirements.

With black XT30 2+2 interface for combined power and CAN signal transmission and white CJT-3pin interface for upper computer parameter adjustment, debugging is more efficient and reliable. The motor works seamlessly with CubeMars’ upper computer software for easy parameter recognition, current loop tuning, and serial port baud rate configuration.
