Overview
This FPV Optical Fiber Image Data Module Relay Extender (Opticallink SKY/GBD system) uses single‑mode optical fiber as the transmission medium to provide stable, anti‑interference wired links up to 30km. The 0.44mm G657A2 fiber ignores terrain obstruction and supports secure, high‑bandwidth image/data transmission for urban, Gobi, and underground environments.
Key Features
- Single‑mode 0.44mm optical fiber; high speed, stable long‑distance (0–30km) wired communication.
- Strong anti‑interference, anti‑eavesdropping; suitable for complex electromagnetic environments.
- High tensile strength and bending/wear resistance; strain >80N (per options shown).
- Protocol compatibility shown: SBUS and CRSF modes; data format TTL/S.BUS; GH1.25 data interface (GBD PLUS image).
- Ground wired/wireless connection methods illustrated for receiver/VTX and flight control integration.
- Ultra‑light airborne SKY end fiber optic disc module for drones.
Installation & Important Tips
- Mount the fiber optic disk so the outlet nozzle is far from propellers; keep the outlet angle horizontal relative to aircraft inclination.
- When winding with special glue, control aircraft speed to ≤30km/h or ≤8m/s over the first ~200m glue area.
- Maximum flight speed should be ≤120km/h.
- Version 4.0 waterproof version can touch water; other versions should avoid water contact to prevent optical signal degradation.

Installation Angle Diagram: Excessive Fiber Bending Angle 35 Important Tips: 1. Install the fiber optic disk far from the propeller nozzle. 2. Ensure the aircraft center of gravity balance and consider its tilt angle. 3. Mount the bracket at a specific angle, similar to the installation angle diagram shown. 4. Control flight speed within 30km/h or 8m/s when applying special glue for the first 200 meters. 5. Max flight speed should not exceed 120km/h.

Ground-side wired connection method II uses CRFS protocol in Opticallink GBD ground terminal mode. The AaA93 VGPGGSTR EVQUUJJERSF video output features a monitor image transmission system with remote controls. The schematic diagram shows the Opticallink GBD ground terminal connecting to a receiver and MAP. When using SBUS protocol, it is necessary to solder here for 8 SLAUE MASTER 9 @ 2.8. The ground side of the master connection needs to be connected to the SBUS protocol. Opticallink SKY sky terminal has a schematic diagram showing the GBD ground terminal connecting with a receiver and MAP. Note: A blinking blue light indicates that the remote control is not properly connected or configured for PPM mode.

Dual Control Link Method II via CRSF connects flight control, video transmission, receiver, and Opticalink SKY. Master ground unit links to CRSF; M light indicates main control, S light activates for backup control during signal loss.

Optical link GBD connects receiver and VTX; SKY links flight control. Schematics illustrate video, power, and data wiring for ground wireless setup. (37 words)
