Overview

The HelloRadioSky HR7C is a compact 2.4GHz PWM receiver based on the CC2500 RF chip, designed especially for RC fixed-wing aircraft and other model drones. It offers 8 PWM channels (up to 7 servos + 1 RSSI), S.BUS output, long-range control over 1 km, and support for D8, D16v1 and SFHSS protocols. With wide input voltage (4.5–8.4V), dual 180mm high-sensitivity antennas and built-in RSSI telemetry, the HR7C is a stable and flexible choice for everyday flying and DIY builds.

Key Features

  • CC2500 2.4GHz RF platform for reliable long-range control

  • 8-channel PWM output – can drive up to 7 servos plus a dedicated RSSI channel

  • Multi-protocol support: D8, D16v1 and SFHSS compatible

  • S.BUS output with RSSI – 7 control channels + 1 RSSI channel for OSD display

  • RSSI & voltage telemetry: RSSI return supported; D8 mode supports receiver/battery voltage feedback

  • Dual 180mm high-sensitivity antennas for strong signal and extended range

  • Silicone-protected antenna exits for better flexibility and wear resistance

  • High-quality 2.54 mm gold-plated pins (2 μm plating) for low resistance and stable connection

  • Lightweight 10 g design, ideal for fixed-wing aircraft, gliders and small drones

RSSI & S.BUS Output

The HR7C’s S.BUS output provides 8 logical channels:

  • Channels 1–7: standard control channels from the transmitter

  • Channel 8: receiver-generated RSSI value, which can be read by the flight controller and displayed on OSD devices to show real-time signal strength.

Binding Instructions

  1. Power on the receiver.

  2. On your open-source multi-protocol transmitter, select the matching protocol (D8, D16v1 or SFHSS) and enter BIND mode.

  3. Press and hold the BIND button on the HR7C for about one second. The LED will start flashing, indicating binding in progress.

  4. When the LED behavior shows successful link, power off the receiver.

  5. Power on the receiver again to confirm normal connection and channel output.

Note: The HR7C is intended for use with open-source multi-protocol transmitters that support D8/D16/SFHSS modes.
