Overview

The HelloRadioSky HR8E is a 2.4GHz ELRS PWM receiver designed specifically for fixed-wing RC airplanes and RC boats. Based on the ExpressLRS 3.3.0 long-range system, the HR8E delivers high performance, fast response, and outstanding link reliability. It offers 9-channel PWM output to drive up to 8 servos plus throttle, supports wide DC 4.5–8.4V input, and integrates dual high-sensitivity 200mm antennas for stable long-distance control. Built-in telemetry automatically reports both receiver battery voltage and main flight-pack voltage (DC 4.0–35V), while a 4-wire CRSF port makes it easy to expand with external sensors and flight controllers. Compact (48×27×15mm) and only 11g, the HR8E is an ideal ExpressLRS PWM receiver upgrade for any fixed-wing or marine model.

Key Features

  • 2.4GHz ExpressLRS long-range system, pre-flashed with ELRS 3.3.0

  • 9-channel PWM output for up to 8 servos plus throttle on fixed-wing or boat models

  • High-performance, low-latency link for precise control and fast response

  • Dual high-sensitivity diversity antennas (approx. 200mm) for stable long-range reception

  • Built-in telemetry with automatic switching between RX battery voltage and main flight-pack voltage

  • Telemetry RF power up to 100mW, adjustable via ExpressLRS LUA script on compatible radios

  • Wide external battery voltage sensing range: DC 4.0–35V (EXT-BAT input)

  • 4-wire CRSF port for sensor input or connection to flight controllers and future expansion

  • BOOT button, status LED and UART interface for easy firmware update and configuration

  • Specially optimized for fixed-wing users but also suitable for RC boats and other PWM-based models

Binding Method (Traditional ExpressLRS Mode)

  1. Power on the HR8E receiver; the LED turns on, then power it off.

  2. Repeat the above power on/off step two more times.

  3. On the third power-up, the LED will flash rapidly twice, indicating that the receiver is in BIND mode.

  4. On your ExpressLRS-compatible radio, run the ELRS LUA script (or binding menu) and perform the Bind operation.

  5. After a successful bind, the LED will show a solid or normal blink pattern, and the receiver is ready to use.

Telemetry & Voltage Sensing

The HelloRadioSky HR8E supports full voltage telemetry and automatic source switching. It can report the receiver’s own supply voltage as well as the main power-pack voltage via the EXT-BAT input. On OpenTX/EdgeTX or other ELRS-compatible radios, the voltage is shown as RxBt, allowing you to monitor either the RX battery (for example ~6.1V) or the propulsion pack (for example ~16.7V) in real time without extra hardware.

Applications

  • Fixed-wing RC airplanes, gliders, warbirds, and EDF jets using PWM servos

  • Flying wings and FPV aircraft requiring low-latency ELRS control with PWM outputs

  • RC boats and marine models where long-range ExpressLRS 2.4GHz and voltage telemetry are needed

  • Projects that need a compact ELRS PWM receiver with CRSF expansion for sensors or flight controllers

With its high performance, flexible configuration, and rich telemetry features, the HelloRadioSky HR8E 2.4GHz ELRS PWM Receiver is a powerful upgrade for any fixed-wing or marine RC model that relies on reliable long-range control.
