Overview

Hobbying XRotor SPRAY 9L is a centrifugal spray nozzle designed for agricultural drones and crop protection applications. The unit integrates a brushless pump and CAN-enabled ESC to deliver precise atomization with a maximum flow of 9L/min and droplet diameter range down to 35m, enabling spray coverage of approximately 4~12 m depending on flight speed and operating settings.

Key Features

  • Brushless centrifugal nozzle with extended pump life (approximately 35 times a standard pump; pump life >500 hours as specified).
  • High-efficiency atomization: droplet diameter range 35m to 500m for fine, uniform droplets.
  • Maximum flow 9 L/min; rated flow 5 L/min (documented system values).
  • Integrated protections: temperature protection, overcurrent protection and start-up voltage protection.
  • ESC control: PWM and CAN support; throttle travel fixed 1050950 s (no throttle travel calibration supported).
  • Waterproof and sealed design with IPX6 protection level and proven corrosion resistance (72 h NSS salt spray test reported).
  • Modular mounting: compatible with X9 / X11 / X13 / X15 power mounts and designed for easy installation and transport.

Usage Notes

  • The nozzle must not run idle. The water pump must be turned on while the nozzle is running so spray liquid circulates and cools the nozzle motor.
  • Turn the nozzle off after the spray liquid is depleted. Some flight controllers may not automatically stop a centrifugal nozzle and require manual shutdown.
  • After each operation, fill a container with clean water and cleaning agent, activate the centrifugal nozzle, spray one container of water and then allow the nozzle to idle for 30 seconds to remove residual chemicals and prevent corrosion, solidification and bearing damage.
