Overview

The Hobbywing Platinum 120A V5 is an ESC designed for 3-8S LiPo setups in 420-520 class electric helicopters (main blade length 420-520mm) or fixed-wing aircraft. It features synchronous rectification technology (DEO - Driving Efficiency Optimization), a redesigned double-sided heat sink with side vents, and a 32-bit processor with an RPM accuracy algorithm for upgraded constant-speed performance.

Key Features

  • Synchronous rectification technology (DEO - Driving Efficiency Optimization): faster throttle response, higher driving efficiency, and lower ESC temperature rise.
  • Cooling design: double-sided heat sink with side vent and an air-duct structure to help airflow through the ESC for more efficient cooling.
  • Built-in Switch Mode BEC: output voltage 5-12V adjustable (adjusted 0.1V).
  • 32-bit processor: combined with an RPM accuracy algorithm to maximize RPM accuracy and improve power consistency; adjustable constant-speed sensitivity.
  • Multiple protection functions: start up protection, current protection, temperature protection, overload protection, throttle signal loss protection, input voltage abnormality protection.
  • Multiple protocol support (data return): supports Mikado VBar System, Futaba S.BUS2, and other devices' data return protocols; parameters can be adjusted on the remote-control device (VBar protocol support) and ESC status can be checked.
  • LED light: displays statuses and fault alerts.
