Overview

The Hobbywing SeaKing 120A V4 is a marine electronic speed controller (ESC) for sensorless brushless RC boat power systems, specified for boat length <= 100cm. It supports 2-6S LiPo input and features an IP67 waterproof and dustproof design for marine use, with built-in data logging and multiple programming methods.

• AUX external control channel for real-time parameter adjustment by connecting the yellow signal wire to an unused receiver channel.
• Freewheeling function (programmable): when enabled, ESC temperature is cooler; when throttle is released the boat decelerates faster; cornering control and handling are better.
• Capacitor overheating protection.
• Adjustable BEC voltage levels: 6.0V / 7.4V / 8.4V.

IP67 note: The IP67 rating ensures protection against splashes, water, and dust under normal use. It has been tested under controlled lab conditions according to GB/T 4208-2017 (domestic) and IEC 60529 (international) standards. The protection is not permanent and may decrease with wear and aging. If water enters after use, blow dry each plug to help prevent rusting.

SeaKing 120A V4 ESC is rated 120A continuous (500A peak), supports 2–6S LiPo, and is listed for RC boats up to 100cm long.

The SeaKing V4 marine ESC uses a water-cooled case and straightforward wiring for clean RC boat installations.

SeaKing V4 marine ESC protection features include low-voltage, over-temperature, throttle signal loss, and overload protection.

The SeaKing marine ESC features an IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof design for reliable use in wet RC boat environments.

The SeaKing 120A V4 ESC includes a built-in BEC with selectable 6.0V, 7.4V, or 8.4V output and up to 25A maximum output current.

The SeaKing 120A V4 uses a slimmer 36mm-wide case, making it easier to fit into narrow RC boat hulls.

SeaKing ESC data logging works with an OTA Bluetooth module to monitor real-time throttle, RPM, voltage, current, and temperatures in the mobile app.

SeaKing 120A V4 includes capacitor overheating protection to help prevent damage from capacitor overload.

The SeaKing ESC’s Freewheeling function is designed to help the boat decelerate faster when the throttle is released.

Connecting the ESC’s yellow AUX signal wire to an unused receiver channel lets you adjust selected settings in real time from the transmitter.

ESC firmware updates can be done via Hobbywing USB LINK software with an LCD programming box Pro or an OTA module (sold separately).
