Overview

The Hobbywing SeaKing V4 (30A) is a sensorless brushless ESC (electronic speed controller) designed for RC boat applications up to <=45CM. It features an IP67 fully waterproof design, built-in data logging (via HW LINK app with an OTA Bluetooth module), and a slim housing for easier installation on narrow boats.

• IP67 fully waterproof and dustproof design; can be used immediately without additional waterproofing treatment.
• Protection functions: low voltage protection, over-temperature protection, throttle signal loss protection, overload protection.
• Built-in switch mode BEC with adjustable output voltage (6.0V / 7.4V).
• Built-in data logging for performance monitoring; when connected to an OTA Bluetooth module, real-time data (throttle position, voltage, temperature, speed) can be monitored via mobile app. Effective Bluetooth distance is about 5m.
• Supports ESC firmware updates via Hobbywing USB LINK software and HW LINK mobile app (updating requires an LCD programming box or OTA module, sold separately).
• Freewheeling function: cooler ESC temperature; faster deceleration when throttle is released; better cornering control and handling.
• AUX external control channel for real-time parameter adjustment using a yellow signal wire connected to an unused receiver channel (function depends on AUX CH Function settings).
• Slim design for easy installation; SeaKing 30A V4 width: 26mm; V4 is narrower than V3: 8%.
• Note: the SeaKing 60A/30A V4 ESC do not have a capacitor overheat protection function.

The Hobbywing SeaKing V4 30A ESC uses a compact, water-cooled case with clearly labeled wiring for straightforward boat installations.

The Hobbywing SeaKing V4 30A ESC is designed for boat setups and lists low-voltage, over-temperature, throttle signal loss, and overload protection.

The SeaKing V4 30A sensorless brushless ESC features an IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof design for wet running conditions.

The SeaKing V4 30A ESC includes a built-in BEC with 6.0V/7.4V output options and up to 4A for powering your receiver and servo.

The SeaKing V4 30A ESC uses a slimmer 26mm-wide case to make installation easier in narrow boat hulls.

Connecting the ESC to an OTA Bluetooth module enables real-time app monitoring of throttle, RPM, voltage, current, and temperatures, with a stated effective range of about 5 m.

A note indicates the SeaKing 60A/30A V4 ESC does not include capacitor overheat protection.

The SeaKing V4 freewheeling function is designed to keep ESC temperatures cooler while helping the boat decelerate faster when the throttle is released.

The SeaKing V4 ESC’s yellow AUX signal wire can be connected to an unused receiver channel for real-time parameter adjustment from the transmitter.

SeaKing V4 ESC firmware can be updated using Hobbywing USB LINK software or the HW LINK mobile app with an LCD programming box or OTA module (sold separately).
