Overview

Hobbywing XeRun XR14 is a sensored brushless electronic speed controller (ESC) designed for 1/14th RC racing cars, providing two preset application modes for 1/14th On-Road and 1/14th Off-Road racing.

Key Features

  • Two selectable profiles tailored for RC car racing (1/14th On-Road and 1/14th Off-Road).
  • High power output with maximum continuous output current up to 70A.
  • Full-metal heat sink top for efficient heat dissipation and stable operating temperature during intensive use.
  • Built-in switch mode BEC with switchable output voltages of 6V/7.4V; maximum continuous BEC current 4A and peak 8A.
  • Adjustable PWM and brake frequencies for precise regulation of driving and braking forces.
  • Softening function for tuning power delivery.
  • 26 adjustable parameters, including PWM frequency, softening, initial throttle response, and Boost/Turbo timing.
  • Data logging supports tracking key data such as minimum voltage, maximum current, RPM, ESC temperature, and motor temperature.
  • By connecting to an OTA Bluetooth module and the HW Link mobile app, real-time data can be monitored; built-in memory in the OTA module supports post-run analysis. Bluetooth effective range is approximately 5 meters.
  • Protection functions: low-voltage cutoff, ESC thermal protection, motor thermal protection, fail-safe (throttle signal loss), and reverse polarity protection circuit.
  • Reverse polarity note: reverse polarity protection of the entire power system can be achieved only by using the non-polarity capacitor sold as an option. The standard capacitor of the ESC does not have this protection; reverse connection of the battery will damage the capacitor and the capacitor should be replaced immediately.
