The RPLiDAR A2M12 is a 360 Degree Laser Scanner Kit based on triangulation laser sensing. It samples at up to 16 kHz to generate 2D point cloud maps for a 12m radius (within low precision), delivering 0–360° coverage and dependable operation for up to 5 years. Its compact, cup-size design suits in-home robots, 3D modeling, positioning, and obstacle detection.

Description

RPLiDAR A2M12 applies the triangulation laser sensing method, emitting and receiving laser to measure distance by calculating receiving time. With the embedded high-speed RPVision3.0 range engine, it offers 360 degrees, 12M radius, 16 kHz light detection and ranging, 0.225° angular resolution (10 Hz) with 5 ~ 15 Hz adjustable rotational speed, low sensing precision, and 5 years reliable operation for producing 2D point cloud information.

A brushless motor non-contact drive enables ultra-low noise. Output laser power meets IEC-60825 Class One eye safety. At only G.W 190g and a 4cm ultra-thin profile, it integrates easily into domestic robots (e.g., floor mopping or home care robots) and home deployments for navigation and positioning.
