Overview

RPLiDAR S3 is a 360-degree ToF LiDAR scanner designed to generate 2D point cloud map information up to a 40m radius. It samples up to 32 kHz with 0.1125° angular resolution and typical 10Hz (600rpm) scanning frequency. The compact unit supports both indoor and outdoor deployment, featuring high lighting resistance against up to 80000 lux and IP65 ingress protection. It is certified to IEC-60825 Class 1 eye safety. The device applies SLAMTEC SL-ToF theory, emitting and receiving laser pulses to measure distance by flight time, improving environmental light immunity and measurement accuracy. It measures low-reflectivity targets reliably, including up to 15m at 10% reflectivity.
