Overview

The Hobbywing SeaKing 90A V4 is an RC boat ESC for sensorless brushless (BL/SL) setups, designed for boats up to length ≤ 80CM. It features an IP67 protection rating and can be used without additional waterproofing treatment (if water enters after use, blow dry each plug to help prevent rusting).

Key Features

• IP67 fully waterproof design with splash protect, waterproof, and dustproof capabilities (protection is not permanent and may decrease with wear and aging; tested to GB/T 4208-2017 and IEC 60529).
• Built-in switch mode BEC with adjustable output voltage (6.0V / 7.4V / 8.4V).
• Built-in data logging for performance monitoring; when connected to an OTA Bluetooth module, real-time data such as throttle position, voltage, temperature, and speed can be monitored via a mobile app. Historical data can be viewed as curve graphs. Effective distance is about 5m.
• AUX external control channel for real-time parameter adjustment via a yellow signal wire connected to an unused receiver channel (function corresponds to the AUX CH Function setting).
• Supports ESC firmware updates via Hobbywing USB LINK software and HW LINK mobile app (updating requires an LCD programming box or OTA module, sold separately).
• Capacitor overheating protection.
• Freewheeling function: when enabled, ESC temperature is cooler, the boat decelerates faster when throttle is released, and cornering control/handling is better.

The SeaKing 90A V4 boat ESC includes a built-in BEC with selectable 6.0V, 7.4V, or 8.4V output and up to 20A max output current for powering servos.

The SeaKing V4 ESC uses a slimmer, narrow-body layout to make installation easier in tight RC boat hulls.

Connect the ESC to the OTA Bluetooth module to monitor real-time throttle, voltage, temperature, and speed in the mobile app, with historical data available after a run.

Hobbywing SeaKing V4 RC boat ESC includes capacitor overheating protection to help prevent damage from capacitor overload.

The SeaKing V4 freewheeling function is designed to reduce ESC temperature while helping the boat decelerate faster and improve cornering control when the throttle is released.

The SeaKing 90A V4 ESC’s AUX yellow signal wire can be plugged into a spare receiver channel to adjust selected parameters from the transmitter.
