Overview

The SkyRC NC2200 is a multi-function AA/AAA NiMH/NiCD battery charger-analyzer with 4 independent slots and a wide-viewing VA screen. It charges 1 to 4 rechargeable batteries at once, provides visual charging status, and displays key battery data including Current, Capacity, Internal Resistance, Voltage, Elapsed Time, and working mode.

• 4 independent charging slots: Charges 1 to 4 AA/AAA NiMH/NiCD rechargeable batteries through four independent slots.
• VA screen data display: Current, Capacity, Internal Resistance, Voltage, Elapsed Time, and working mode.
• Interactive LED feedback (per slot): Solid Red = charging; Solid Green = complete.
• 5 operation modes: Turbo (fast charge), Charge, Discharge, Refresh & Analyze, Break-in.
• Battery matching (grouping): Refresh mode can be used to determine actual capacity to help group batteries with similar capacity for better series efficiency.
• Formatting (Break-in): Activates the battery with a small charge and discharge rate in a charge-discharge-charge sequence; in some cases may need to be repeated two to three times.
• Battery recovery guidance:
  1. Use REFRESH & ANALYZE mode once to three times.
  2. Change to BREAK-IN mode if capacity is still low.
  3. If the second step improves capacity by more than 10%, try BREAK-IN mode once to three times again; if there are no significant improvements and actual battery capacity is less than 60% of its rated capacity, the battery likely needs replacement.
• Ez-setup: Starts automatically with the last remembered setting if power is uninterrupted; in 5 modes, one slot’s setting can be applied to all slots by pressing and holding the ENTER button for two seconds.
• Optional app connectivity: With an optional Bluetooth Dongle, NC2200 data can be viewed on a smartphone in the SkyCharger app with a charging graph, enabling battery performance analysis; charging graph and firmware upgrading are accessible via the app. (App shown available on iOS and Android.)
• FlexiPulse (overheating prevention): Internal resistance detection can automatically reduce charge current to reduce heating and protect the battery. Charge current behavior by battery internal resistance is shown as:
  • Greater than 20mΩ while less than or equal to 40mΩ: Limit to 1.5A
  • Greater than 40mΩ: Turbo charge stops
  • Greater than 40mΩ while less than or equal to 60mΩ: Limit to 800mA
  • Greater than 60mΩ: Limit to 400mA
• Controls: Buttons labeled DOWN, UP, ENTER, SLOT, TURBO.
• Processor platform (as stated): ARM Cortex-M3; 32-bit core processor; 1 to 240 interrupts, plus NMI; 12 cycle interrupt latency.
