Setup Notes
ESC firmware notes (Betaflight)
- The ESC firmware defaults to Bluejay 0.19.2 48KHz.
- Supports bidirectional D-shot and RPM filtering in Betaflight.
- Upgrading to 96KHz is not recommended; it may cause errors in motor idle settings (motors not spinning when disarmed).
- Do not flash the firmware with a shorter interval; this can increase the chance of stalling and flight controller damage.
Serial ELRS 2.4G RX notes
- The Serial ELRS 2.4G RX uses the Crossfire serial protocol (CRSF protocol) to communicate between the receiver and the flight controller.
-
Binding:
- Unplug and plug the power/data cable three times to enter binding mode.
- The RX LED flashes rapidly twice when in binding mode.
- Put the transmitter/module into binding mode.
- A solid RX light indicates it is bound.
-
Upgrade (passthrough method):
- Connect the FC to the computer but do not connect to Betaflight Configurator.
- Select target: "FLYWOO 2.4Ghz EL24P" in ExpressLRS Configurator.
- Use BetaflightPassthrough in ExpressLRS Configurator.
9V electronic switch
By controlling the switch of USER2, it is possible to control the 9V power supply, temporarily shutting off the video transmitter power to help reduce prolonged high-temperature exposure.
- Connect the flight controller to Betaflight Configurator and open the Modes tab.
- Find USER2, select Add Range, assign a switch on the radio controller, save, then activate USER2.
