Overview
BETAFPV SuperD ELRS Diversity Receiver is a true diversity ExpressLRS receiver featuring two antennas, dual receiver chains, and a built-in TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator) for an accurate frequency rate and stable signal in extreme temperature environments. It is available in 2.4GHz and 915MHz/868MHz versions for reliable long-range flying, aerial photography, and FPV freestyle.
Key Features
- True diversity design with two complete RF receiver chains (dual SX1280/SX1281 for 2.4GHz, or dual SX1276 for 915MHz/868MHz).
- Built-in TCXO oscillator for stable signal and accurate frequency rate; designed for temperature resistance.
- Two dipole T antennas (U.FL / I-PEX MHF I connectors) for omnidirectional reception; antenna separation and vertical placement are recommended for better signal.
- CRSF serial receiver protocol for flight controller connection via UART.
- Status RGB LED with defined modes (power-on, WiFi upgrading, binding, connection states).

Wiring (CRSF to Flight Controller)
- FC TX → Receiver RX
- FC RX → Receiver TX
- 5V → 5V
- GND → GND
Configuration & Bind
ExpressLRS uses the Crossfire serial protocol (CRSF) to communicate between the SuperD diversity receiver and the flight controller. In Betaflight, enable the selected UART as Serial Rx, then set Receiver Mode to Serial (via UART) and Serial Receiver Provider to CRSF.
For wiring or setup assistance, contact https://rcdrone.top/ or email support@rcdrone.top.
Binding (no preset binding phrase by default)
- Power on and off the receiver 3 times, pausing 2 seconds each time, to enter binding mode.
- When the indicator fast blinks orange twice, the receiver is in binding mode.
- Start binding on the radio/transmitter module; a solid indicator shows binding success.
Note: After binding once, the receiver remembers the autosaved binding phrase and device and will bind automatically after restarting.
Firmware notes
- 2.4GHz default firmware: ExpressLRS V3.0.0 (transmitter/module should be V3.0.0 or later; both sides should not use a binding phrase).
- 915MHz/868MHz default firmware: ExpressLRS V3.3.0; the official version was not yet released at the time of the provided documentation and is noted as self-compiled firmware.
- Flashing target names mentioned: BETAFPV SuperD 2.4GHz RX (ELRS Configurator V1.5.2 or above) and BETAFPV SuperD 900MHz RX (ELRS Configurator Nightly).
RGB Status Indication
| RGB Color | Status | Description |
| Rainbow | Fade effect | Power on |
| Green | Slow flash | WiFi upgrading mode |
| Red | Quick flash | No RF chip detected |
| Orange | Double flash | Binding mode |
| Orange | Triple flash | Connected, but mismatched model-match configuration |
| Orange | Slow flash | Waiting for connection |
| Solid on | Connected and color indicates packet rate |
Notes from the provided documentation: F1000 and F500 are FLRC packet rates; D500 and D250 are DVDA (Deja Vu Diversity Aid) packet rates; D50 is a unique mode of ELRS Team900; 100Hz Full is a mode providing 16-channel full-resolution output at a 200Hz refresh rate.

Details

SuperD is a true diversity ExpressLRS receiver with two receiver chains and two antennas for reliable link performance.

A built-in TCXO helps keep the link stable and accurate across hot and cold flying conditions.

Choose the band that fits your setup—2.4GHz or 868/915MHz—while keeping a compact receiver footprint.

Clear pad labels make wiring CRSF to a flight controller straightforward: RX, TX, 5V, and GND.

Dual IPEX (U.FL) antenna connectors support antenna separation for better omnidirectional reception on 868/915MHz builds.

Connect the receiver to any free UART using the standard CRSF wiring order (TX↔RX, plus power and ground).

In Betaflight, set Receiver Mode to Serial (via UART) and choose CRSF as the provider.

ExpressLRS Configurator provides the correct SuperD receiver target for flashing and updates.

Everything needed to get started is included: receiver, two dipole T antennas, wiring lead, header pins, and manual.
