Overview

Compact time-of-flight laser ranging module designed for embedded distance measurement from 40 mm to 4000 mm. The WT53D outputs real-time distance over UART-TTL (3.3–5 V) and supports both Serial ASCII and Modbus register protocols. An aluminum shell with an optical cover sheet and internal EMI shielding improves stability versus bare boards; mounting holes make installation easy. Typical uses include temperature-screening/people-counting gates, robotics, level and presence detection.
