Overview

Hobbywing UBEC 10A (2-6S) is a UBEC DC-DC regulator designed to provide an adjustable, stable output for RC receivers, gyros, servos, and other onboard electronics. It uses an efficient regulator chip (conversion efficiency exceeds 90%) and an aluminum case to support heat dissipation and reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference).

Key Features

  • DC-DC regulator chip with conversion efficiency exceeds 90%
  • 3-stage adjustable output voltage: 6.0 V / 7.4 V / 8.4 V
  • Protections: over-current protection, output short-circuit protection, thermal protection
  • BEC shoot-through protection to help prevent input voltage from directly flowing to the output end
  • Status LED indicates output voltage is within the normal range
  • External switch for on/off control
  • Aluminum case for heat dissipation and EMI reduction
  • IP67 waterproof and dust design

Wiring Notes (from manual diagram)

When ESC has built-in BEC function

  • Disconnect the BEC output of the ESC by disconnecting the middle wire of the ESC throttle cable.
  • Connect the UBEC input end with the battery pack in parallel.
  • Insert the UBEC output end into an idle channel of the receiver.
  • Suggestion: Take out the middle wire from the JR plug of the ESC throttle cable with a sharp tweezer or screwdriver, and insulate it. To use the ESC built-in BEC function again in the future, reconnect the middle wire.

When ESC has no built-in BEC function

  • No changes are needed to the ESC.
  • Connect the UBEC input end with the battery pack in parallel.
  • Insert the UBEC output end into any idle channel of the receiver.
