The ZeroErr eCoder18 is an axial-reading absolute magnetic encoder with an 18 mm through-hole, RS485 versions, and selectable 17-bit or 19-bit resolution. Single-turn and multi-turn absolute-value versions are available; the multi-turn version is a non-contact, multi-turn absolute type. The assembly consists of a circular encoder on a square mounting plate with a board-mounted white multi-pin connector.
Features
18 mm through-hole for passing mechanical structures, cables, air lines, and similar items.
Internally threaded code disc with a Ø18 mm opening. The internal threading supports convenient installation and controlled installation accuracy.
Programmable zero position stored in internal EEPROM.
Precision positioning reference for fast, accurate installation.
Stated no-hysteresis operation; the specified hysteresis is less than one unit of resolution.
Supports servo, linear, DDR (direct-drive rotary), coreless, and voice-coil motors.
Specified for dust, heavy oil contamination, high- and low-temperature conditions, and complex electromagnetic environments; stated as suitable for reliable operation in harsh environments.
Standard RS-485 protocol; described as compatible with Tamagawa absolute encoders.
Options
Version: Absolute value of a single lap (RS485), or absolute value of multiple turns (RS485).
Resolution: 17-bit or 19-bit.
Multiturn Counting Battery: Not Include, or Include (Two pieces per pack). Battery selection is available only with the listed multi-turn configurations.
19-Bit Multi-Turn Configuration
The 19-bit multi-turn absolute encoder configuration provides up to 19-bit resolution and 240 counting revolutions. It supports programmable, storable point-by-point position compensation and is specified with repeatability of ±10 arcseconds.
