Overview
The ASAIR AF2601R40 six-axis force/torque sensor measures three orthogonal forces and three torques in a compact stainless-steel body. The package includes a separate AF2610R01 acquisition module for RS485/Modbus integration. Its 40 mm diameter and 14 mm sensor thickness suit compact robotic tooling and multi-axis test fixtures.
Features
- Silicon strain gauges and decoupling algorithms for six-component sensing.
- Fx/Fy 150 N, Fz 300 N and 10 N·m on each torque axis.
- ±1.5% FS accuracy and ±0.5% FS repeatability.
- Stainless-steel sensor housing with IP64 protection.
- Up to 300 Hz measurement through the matched acquisition system.
- Temperature compensation and multi-axis calibration support measurement consistency.

Keep module supply, bridge excitation and sensor operating references separate. Use the matched sensor/module connection; do not apply the module supply directly to unidentified sensor leads. Match communication parameters and zero the installed assembly before measurement.
Applications
- Robot force-controlled grinding, precision assembly and hand-guided teaching.
- Contact and collision-load monitoring as part of a designed control system.
- Steering-wheel torque, tire multi-component load and crash-dummy load research.
- Gait analysis, rehabilitation robotics and prosthetic-socket stress research within the sensor ranges.
Application photographs illustrate integration examples. The package does not constitute a complete robot safety or clinical system.
Mechanical Dimensions and Installation
The sensor drawing identifies Ø40 × 14 mm, Ø33 mm pitch circles, M3 mounting threads with 3 mm and 6 mm depth callouts, and Ø3 mm locating features with 3 mm and 6 mm depth callouts on the respective faces. Match each feature to its corresponding face and retain the specified angular offsets. The module drawing shows a 60 × 50 mm enclosure reference and 25.5 / 23 mm thickness callouts, a 9-pin connector and M6 cable entry. Unspecified drawing tolerance is ±0.1 mm.
Secure the base and tooling to the designated faces, align the coordinate frame, provide cable strain relief and compensate for tool weight and orientation during calibration.
