Overview
The ASAIR AF2601R82 six-axis force/torque sensor measures three orthogonal forces and three torques for robotic force control, automated assembly and multi-axis testing. Its low-profile 82 mm aluminum-alloy body combines silicon strain gauges with a 24-bit synchronous acquisition ADC, offering RS485/Modbus communication and measurement rates up to 300 Hz.
Features
- Six-component sensing: Fx, Fy, Fz and Tx, Ty, Tz.
- Fx/Fy 80 N, Fz 240 N, and 4 N·m on each torque axis.
- ±1.5% FS accuracy with ±0.5% FS repeatability.
- Anodized aluminum housing, 26 mm thickness and compact internal structure.
- Silicon strain gauges, synchronous acquisition and multi-axis decoupling.
- Temperature compensation and multi-axis calibration for consistent measurement.

FS means full scale. Axis capacities are measurement limits, not robot payload or shipping weight. Consider combined loads, tooling weight and dynamic forces when sizing your installation; overload capability is not a continuous operating range.
Applications
- Robot force-controlled grinding, precision assembly and hand-guided teaching.
- Contact and collision-load monitoring within a complete control system.
- Automotive steering torque, tire six-component force testing and crash-load analysis.
- Biomechanics, gait analysis, rehabilitation robotics and prosthetic-socket load research.
Application images show integration examples. Equipment must be designed around the sensor's axis ranges; the sensor alone does not constitute a complete safety or clinical system.
Mechanical Dimensions and Installation
The drawing shows Ø82 × 26 mm, Ø72 mm mounting pitch circles, six M5 threads 6 mm deep, and face-specific Ø4 mm and Ø3 mm locating features 4 mm deep. Follow the 60° and 15° angular references and the corresponding mounting face. Unspecified dimensional tolerance is ±0.1 mm.
- Match the adapter and tooling to both mounting faces and the designated load directions.
- Provide a compatible 6–12 VDC supply and RS485/Modbus host connection using the correct pinout.
- Set matching communication parameters, zero the installed assembly and compensate for tooling mass and orientation.
- Provide cable strain relief and keep connections clear of moving parts and sharp edges.
