Overview

The CHIHAI MOTOR CHP-42GP-775 is a planetary DC gear motor combining a 775 brushed motor with a compact metal reduction gearbox. Choose the actual reduction ratio, 12 V or 24 V winding, and motor-only or mounting-bracket package. These options are the ordinary non-encoder version with a fixed 8 mm D-shaped output shaft.

Features

  • Metal planetary gearing for compact reduction.
  • Copper-wound 775 motor and ball-bearing output support.
  • 8 mm D-shaft with 22 mm projection reference.
  • Reversible DC operation with an appropriate external motor driver.

Winding and Ratio Performance

The following tables retain winding-specific operating references. Rated torque uses kgf·cm; stall-current values describe a blocked shaft and are not continuous operating current. Maximum-power figures are separate reference headings rather than power guarantees at every ratio or load point. Rows 18: 1, 125: 1, 181: 1 and 458: 1 are family reference only and are not selectable retail options.

12 V

35 W maximum-power reference. No-load current≤500 mA; stall-current reference 12.0 A.

Mechanical Fit and Connection

Use the ordinary-motor drawing for this listing. Gearbox length changes with ratio; add the selected L dimension to the motor section rather than assuming one overall length. Check the 8 mm shaft fit, 7 mm flat, 22 mm projection and four M 4 mounting positions before assembly. Keep mounting screws within the 3 mm threaded depth. Allow rear-terminal and ventilation clearance.

Connect a DC supply matching the selected winding through a motor driver rated for the operating and startup current. The rear red mark identifies the positive terminal; reversing motor leads reverses rotation. Never connect household AC directly. When using a controller, keep its supply-input polarity correct and reverse motor outputs only as supported by that controller.

Use a high-current source with adequate margin: the motor guidance specifies a supply of at least 10 A, and actual winding/load may require more. A high-discharge power battery is required for battery operation; 25C is the illustrated battery recommendation, not a complete battery sizing rule. Verify voltage, capacity, current capability, wiring and protection for the application. Avoid stall, overload, abrupt reversal and shaft side loading.

Applications

Robotic drives, automation fixtures and machinery projects requiring planetary reduction. Select the actual rated speed, torque, gearbox length and driver capacity for the mechanism.

What's Included

One selected ordinary CHP-42GP-775 motor. The bracket package additionally includes the pictured mounting bracket and matching hardware. No encoder, controller, power supply, battery, coupling or complete machine is included. Encoder-equipped, rear-shaft and internal-construction pictures describe other family arrangements or internal parts rather than additional package contents.

FAQ

Does this listing include a Hall encoder?

No. Both actual packages are the ordinary non-encoder version.

Can I select a 10 mm shaft?

No. These actual options use the 8 mm D-shaft with 22 mm projection reference.

Are all table ratios selectable?

No. Only the ten actual ratios in the selector are offered; other rows are family references.

Is the mounting bracket always included?

No. It is included only in Motor+Bracket.
