Overview

The T-Motor VL8022 KV170 is a VTOL UAV Motor designed for VL Series propulsion setups, combining fast, economical electronic propeller locking with a matched control ecosystem. The system is presented with V150A ESC and VZ29 propeller recommendations for VTOL/fixed-wing aerodynamic layouts.

Key Features

  • Fast propeller locking: locks the propeller in seconds.
  • 360° custom angle propeller locking: helps avoid turbulence caused by rotor rotation and helps keep the fixed-wing aerodynamic layout unaffected.
  • Adaptive (economical) propeller locking: ESC automatically adjusts current to control locking torque as external force changes, reducing power consumption and heat for energy saving.
  • Recommendation: 12S voltage; 22.2 kg max thrust/arm; 40 kg recommended MTOW (Quad).
