Overview
The Yahboom Ultrasonic Sensor Module uses a transmitting probe and a receiving probe to measure the distance to an object in front by sending and receiving signals in real time. It provides three connection methods for prototyping and education projects: a four-corner alligator clip interface and additional DuPont line (side-row female) and PH2.0 cable interfaces for broader controller/expansion board compatibility.
The four alligator-clip pads are labeled VCC, GND, ECHO, and TRIG, enabling direct connection to a micro:bit board or a micro:bit alligator-clip expansion board for graphical programming. A 4-pin interface and a PH2.0 interface are also provided for DuPont line or cable connections for other experiments.
Key Features
- Three interface methods: alligator clip connection, DuPont line connection, and PH2.0 cable connection.
- Side-row female interface advantages: not easy to short circuit when using; flat and convenient for multi-level connection; does not affect the user experience of the button module.
- Four-corner alligator clip interface: clips are far apart at the four corners, not easy to short, suitable for fast connection.
- PH2.0 “foolproof” interface design for convenient insertion.
- Supports reference materials, source code, and graphical programming tools.

Details

Designed for real-time distance measurement using separate transmit and receive ultrasonic probes.

Three connection styles make it easy to prototype on micro:bit, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and other controllers.

The PH2.0 connector provides a keyed, convenient plug-in option for robot kits and expansion boards.

Multiple interfaces help the module fit into a wide range of education and maker platforms.

Suitable for hands-on builds like rangefinders, echo positioners, and interactive DIY experiments.

Official learning resources support both Arduino and micro:bit workflows for faster classroom setup.

Clear pin labeling helps with quick wiring: VCC, GND, TRIG, and ECHO are printed on the board.
