Overview
The Hobbywing EZRUN 4268SD G2R is a sensored motor designed for RC applications such as 1/8 buggy and 1/10 heavy-duty monster truck setups. It is designed for compatibility with the Hobbywing EZRUN MAX8 G2S ESC; the ESC can automatically recognize the motor to form a fully sensored power system and enable motor overheat protection.
Key Features
- Sensored design for linear, smooth response (sensor mode supported).
- Rotor uses four high-strength, high-temperature-resistant sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets with widened magnetic tiles for torque and stable output.
- Independent magnetic ring helps the Hall sensor output a pure rotor position signal and reduces sensor signal interference.
- High output efficiency to help reduce temperature and deliver more power under the same load.
- Construction elements listed: CNC-machined aluminum housing, high-purity copper windings, advanced rotor structure, 0.2mm silicon steel laminations, stainless steel output shaft, high-precision bearings.
- New sensor interface and rubber-covered bearings for improved waterproofing and dustproofing versus traditional sensored motors.
- Maximum speed up to 60,000RPM; noted as a 9% increase compared to the G2 motor.

Applications
- 1/8 Buggy
- 1/10 Heavy-duty Monster Truck
- Use with Hobbywing EZRUN MAX8 G2S ESC (automatic motor recognition; motor overheat protection supported when paired with the matching ESC)
Installation & Use Notes
- Mounting hole screws: two sets of M4 and two sets of M3; mounting holes are 5.5mm in depth. Confirm screw length according to motor mounting plate thickness to avoid damage due to long screws.
- When connecting the motor and ESC, match the marked three-phase positions A, B, and C correspondingly.
- When connecting the motor sensor wire to the ESC sensor wire, connect according to the arrow mark on the sensor interface.
- Before powering on the ESC, check the motor installation and the order of all connections.
- All connections must be made correctly. Improper or weak connections can cause loss of control or major issues.
- Never apply full throttle without the pinion installed. Extremely high RPM without load may damage the motor.
- Stop use if the motor exceeds 100°C/212°F, as high temperatures can damage the motor and weaken the rotor.
