Overview

Hobbywing FLYFUN V5 110A HV SBEC/OPTO is an ESC (electronic speed controller) for brushless motors, rated for 6-14S LiPo input and intended for fixed-wing aircraft setups including regular propeller airplanes and EDF aircraft.

Key Features

  • High-performance 32-bit ARM M4 microprocessor (running frequency up to 72MHz) compatible with various brushless motors.
  • Microprocessor powered by a separate DC regulator for improved anti-interference performance and reduced risk of signal issues.
  • DEO (Driving Efficiency Optimization) technology / Active Freewheeling:
    • Rapider and smoother throttle response; better stability and flexibility during flight.
    • Higher driving efficiency and longer flight time.
    • Lower ESC temperature for more reliable operation.
  • Start-up modes: Normal / Soft / Very Soft (Very Soft is recommended when using EDF aircraft).
  • Programmable parameters can be adjusted via transmitter or Hobbywing LED program box (using a separate programming cable).
  • Brake modes described for the series include Normal brake and Proportional brake (Reverse Brake is referenced in series materials; see the model-specific specification below).
  • Multiple protections (as listed in product materials): Start-up Protection, ESC Thermal Protection, Capacitor Thermal Protection, Over-current Protection, Over-load Protection, Throttle Signal Loss Protection, Abnormal Input Voltage Protection.
  • SBEC version includes a built-in high-power BEC with adjustable output voltage (5.2V / 6.0V / 7.4V). The BEC module is described as separate from other ESC circuits to help maintain BEC output in case of power-board faults.
