Electrical Performance at 7.4 V
Specification limits and typical test values are listed separately. Typical values are reference results, not guaranteed values for every motor. The approximately 50000 rpm description is a rounded no-load reference; use the 49000 rpm±10% specification below.
| Parameter | Specification | Typical reference | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| No-load current | ≤1.8 A | 1.5 A | At rated 7.4 V, no load |
| No-load speed | 49000 rpm ±10% | 49400 rpm | At rated 7.4 V, no load |
| No-load starting voltage | ≤0.8 V DC | 0.5 V DC | Slowly raise input from 0 V until continuous no-load rotation |
| Stall torque | ≥900gf.cm | 1138gf.cm | At rated 7.4 V |
| Stall current | ≤100 A | 80 A | Stable 7.4 V terminal voltage |
| Terminal resistance | 0.0925Ω ±10% | 0.0925Ω | Measured between motor terminals |
| Insulation resistance | ≥10MΩ | Infinity reference | Between terminal and metal housing at 250 V or 500VDC |
Load and Environmental Conditions
| Parameter | Specification | Typical reference |
|---|---|---|
| Rated load | 125gf.cm | 125gf.cm |
| Operating-load range | 0–570gf.cm | 125gf.cm |
| Rated-load current | ≤12.5 A | 10.2 A |
| Rated-load speed | 43000 rpm ±10% | 43460 rpm |
| Grounding polarity | No grounding polarity | No grounding polarity |
| Operating environment | -5 to 40°C; 15–90%RH | |
| Storage environment | -10 to 50°C; 15–90%RH, no condensation |
Rated-load torque 125gf.cm and stall torque 900gf.cm use gram-force centimeters, not kilogram-force centimeters. Rated-load speed and no-load speed are different operating points. A stalled motor can draw very high current and heat rapidly; do not hold the shaft stalled. Use a suitable current-capable DC supply, controller, wiring and protection for the intended load.
Installation and Operation
Operate within 6.0–7.4 V DC. Do not use 11.1 V for normal operation: excessive speed can damage this high-speed motor. It is intended for relatively light loads rather than heavy-load or high-reduction torque duties. The no-load starting-voltage test is not an alternative rated supply range.
Check shaft fit, mounting-hole spacing, screw engagement and the ventilated housing clearance before assembly. Keep moving parts guarded and allow the motor to cool. Follow the positive/negative terminal references in the drawing; reversing DC polarity reverses rotation. Disconnect power before wiring or handling the shaft.
The optional spring contacts retain on the motor terminals; do not pull them out forcefully. The motor-terminal connection avoids soldering directly on the motor, while the free wire ends still need a suitable insulated supply/controller connection. Red/black lead polarity must match the actual terminal marks and desired rotation.
Applications
370-size toy upgrades, small high-speed drive experiments and compact mechanisms matched to the stated voltage, shaft, speed and load. It is a bare motor rather than a complete toy, vehicle, gearbox or drive system.
What's Included
- Motor Only: one red 370-size motor.
- Motor + Solder-Free Lead: one motor and the pictured approximately 15cm red/black retaining-terminal lead.
A battery, power supply, speed controller, gearbox, coupling, mounting bracket and complete mechanism are not included.
FAQ
Can I run it from an 11.1 V battery?
No. Use the specified 6.0–7.4 V operating range; 11.1 V can cause excessive speed and motor damage.
Is 43000 rpm the no-load speed?
No. It is the rated-load speed reference. No-load specification is 49000 rpm±10% at 7.4 V.
Does the lead package need soldering on the motor?
No. Its retaining contacts connect at the motor terminals; the free ends still require a correct external electrical connection.
