Overview

The CHIHAI MOTOR CHS-SM1530 is a compact linear actuator that converts two-phase stepper rotation into guided lead-screw travel. Its M3 x0.5 right-hand screw and plastic carriage provide30 mm effective travel. Choose the 1530 motor alone, a 1530 motor with standard or PLC-control driver, or the separate 1519 motor-only version with 19 mm travel.

All drawing dimensions are millimetres. The general tolerance table lists grades A, B and C without assigning a selected grade to every feature. Keep individually marked tolerances and verify the applicable grade before machining. The drawing angular-tolerance reference is ±0.1°.

Wiring and Driver Selection

Four-pin wire order: pin1 blue=B+, pin2 black=B−, pin3 red=A+, pin4 yellow=A−. Coil pairs are blue/black and red/yellow. The connector is XH2.54-4PIN. Use a suitable bipolar stepper driver and match current and voltage to the selected motor; do not connect the coils directly to a DC supply.

The standard-driver package includes the four-button display board. The PLC-driver package adds the pictured PUL/DIR/EN external-control connector. These choices include one driver board with one SM1530 motor; a PLC or power supply is not included. Confirm actual motor phase current and driver setup before running.

Applications

Use the actuator for compact single-axis slides, small positioning or feed mechanisms, miniature printing/engraving development and instrument adjustment within the selected motor ratings. Combining axes requires additional mechanics and controls. This is not a complete two-axis XY cross-slide, medical device or certified treatment instrument.

What's Included

One selected linear stepper actuator with attached four-wire lead and carriage. A driver board is included only in the two SM1530 driver packages. No cross-axis platform, external controller, PLC, power supply or complete machine is included.

Installation and Operation

Check mounting dimensions, polarity and coil pairs before power-up. Provide adequate clearance throughout the selected travel. Commission with light load and increase gradually; avoid mechanical end-stop impact, excessive shaft loads and forcing the screw or carriage. Voltage, speed, load and duty cycle affect heat. Reference starting/response frequencies do not guarantee reliable motion at every load.

FAQ

Is this a complete XY slide?

No. Each selection contains one single-axis linear actuator; it does not include a second perpendicular stage.

What is different about the 1519 option?

It is a separate motor-only version with 19 mm travel, compared with 30 mm travel for SM1530. The 1530 parameter table is not a specification for1519.
