Overview
The Yahboom PS2 handle controller is a 2.4G wireless handle remote controller kit that includes a receiver for controlling robots, smart cars, robotic arms, and other DIY projects. After power is applied, the handle and receiver can automatically pair. The receiver communicates with the main controller via SPI for sensitive and responsive control, and a DuPont line is provided for quick wiring to development boards and smart car controllers.

Receiver Pin Description
Receiver pin description (wireless handle communication needs 6 pins):
- DI/DAT: handle sends a command to the master; 8-bit serial data transmitted on the falling edge of the clock.
- DO/CMD: master receives the data sent by the handle; 8-bit serial data transmitted on the falling edge of the clock.
- GND: ground.
- VDD: receiver working voltage is 3V.
- CS/SEL: handle trigger signal; during communication, it is at low level.
- CLK: clock signal, sent by the master.
Adapter board SPI header labels: MOSI, MISO, GND, CS, ACK, VCC, SCK. Notes shown for the receiver socket: empty pin; ACK is not required.
Button / Mode Notes
- After pairing is successful, press the MODE button to select the handle sending mode.
- Red light mode: joystick outputs analog values.
- Green light mode: the joystick corresponds to the four direction buttons.
- L2: deceleration; R2: acceleration.
- Press and hold L1 (left) / R1 (right) for the left / right joystick to take effect.
- Left joystick: corresponds to 8 directions, stop in the middle; right joystick: controls the car to rotate.
- Example function mapping shown for a sample robot car: âł fire extinguishing, Ă whistle, â lighting, ⥠singing (functions may differ depending on robot car hardware).

Manuals
Connection Note
- Direct connection to the receiver is not recommended: it can be inconvenient and may damage the receiver.
- The receiver only supports a stable 3V power supply and has no protection circuit; wrong wiring can burn out the receiver.
- If a stable 3V power supply cannot be provided, using a receiver adapter board is recommended (supports 3â5V with stabilization and anti-reverse connection protection).

Gamepad-style 2.4G wireless controller for DIY robots, smart cars, and robotic arms; powered by 2Ă AAA batteries.

Auto sleep helps extend battery life; press START to wake the handle when the indicator is off.

Skip wiring hasslesâpair the handle with the receiver and control projects from up to about 10 meters away.

Skip familiarization time with dual joysticks, D-pad, and function buttons laid out for game-like driving control.

The receiver adapter board simplifies connection and adds protection and voltage stabilization for DIY builds.

Built-in stabilization supports 3â5V input on the adapter board while the receiver operates at 3V.

A practical remote for many maker projects, from smart car chassis to robotic arm control.

SPI pin labels make it easier to wire the receiver to common development boards and smart car controllers.

Online tutorials and reference files support faster setup and troubleshooting during integration.

Skip code from scratch with provided test routines and documentation for supported platforms.

Dimensions are provided to help confirm fit in your chassis, enclosure, or controller bay before ordering.

Everything needed to start wiring is included: handle, receiver, adapter board, DuPont line, and 2Ă AAA batteries.
