Overview

The Hobbywing XRotor X8 G2 is an integrated drone propulsion system for agriculture drone platforms and other small to medium-sized drones. It is designed for agricultural plant protection drones, offering a recommended takeoff weight per axis of 5~7.5 kg (sea level) and a max thrust of 17.5 kg (sea level).

The system supports 12S~14S (LiPo) and features IPX6 ingress protection for harsh operating environments. The ESC uses FOC control (optimized for PMSM) for heavy-load efficiency.

  • Multiple parameter adjustment modes: adjust drive parameters, motor rotation direction, LED color, and other settings via remote controller or DataLink software; OTA function supports multi-ESC firmware upgrades in one drone
  • Structural design: aluminum alloy tube clamp and aluminum alloy base; reinforced internal beam; triple interlocking structure
  • Harsh-environment design notes: high-temperature resistant enamel wire (withstands temperatures up to 200°C); liquid drainage channel; IPX6
  • Upgrade notes: no structural modifications required to upgrade; MFP 30x11S (with adapter) and MFP 30x11 (with adapter) are compatible with the installation structures; only one propeller type can be installed on the same adapter to avoid dynamic balance issues

Test/Reference Notes (from provided materials)

*Based on internal test data from HOBBYWING, comparative calculation of battery capacity consumption over the same flight distance was obtained at forward flight speeds of 12 m/s and 20 m/s on a quadcopter flying at sea level in 34°C ambient temperature, both no-load and at rated payload. Actual results may vary with different airframe configurations, battery models, and test conditions, for reference only.
