Overview

The Hobbywing XRotor X9 G2L is a propulsion system for 16L agriculture drones, designed for agricultural plant protection applications. It supports a rated single-axis load of 7-12 kg (sea level) with maximum thrust up to 24 kg (sea level), and fits D40 mm / 40 mm carbon fiber tube arms for small to medium-sized platforms.

With IPX6 ingress protection and a FOC-based ESC (optimized for PMSM), the system is intended for heavy-load operation in harsh outdoor environments. It supports dual throttle redundancy via PWM (analog) and CAN (digital), and provides telemetry and compatibility through HWCAN and DroneCAN (Cyphal) communication.

  • Multiple parameter adjustment modes:
    • Parameter adjustment via remote controller: adjust navigation light colors and motor rotation directions without the need of a DataLinkBox
    • Parameter adjustment via Bluetooth in the mobile app: DataLinkBox G3 paired with HOBBYWING DataLink V3 app (Android and iOS; Huawei HarmonyOS currently not supported); quickly configure 90% of ESC parameters outdoors via Bluetooth
    • Parameter adjustment via PC software: PC-side DataLink host software with DataLinkBox supports all open parameter settings (including advanced parameters settings) on the ESC
  • New "dual-loop" control architecture:
    • Flatland mode: stable motor rotation speed output and precise speed control within the operating voltage range
    • Highland mode: automatically adjusts motor rotation speeds within a certain range as altitude increases (customizable on request)
  • Brand-new structure for optimal heat dissipation: rectangular vent design with a larger diameter improves heat dissipation efficiency while preventing impurities from entering the motor
