Speeds are motor reference values at the named voltage, not loaded mechanism speed. Match the mounting envelope, shaft, pinion and electrical load. Numbered models are separate configurations; a shared460 label does not establish identical torque, current or fit. The No.9/10 cards show67 mm overall and13.5 mm projection; use the complete drawing and check your actual installation clearance.
Standard460SA Performance at11.1V
The following table applies to the standard ferrite high-speed460SA reference. It does not assign the same current or torque to every rare-earth, SHS, N52 or ARP9 selection. Stall and maximum-power conditions are separate from continuous operation.
| Condition | Speed rpm | Current A | Torque mN·m | Mechanical output W | Efficiency |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| No load | 34000 | 2.6 | - | - | - |
| Stall | 0 | 99.0 | 292.34 | 0 | - |
| Maximum efficiency | 29258 | 16.044 | 40.769 | 124.91 | 70.1% |
| Maximum power output | 17917 | 48.2 | 146.172 | 260.484 | - |
| Characteristic | Reference |
|---|---|
| Torque constant | 3.033 mN·m/A |
| Back-EMF constant | 3.033 mV/(rad/s) |
| Dynamic resistance | 0.1121 ohm |
| Motor regulation | 116.30 rpm/(mN·m) |
Do not operate stalled.99A is the stall-condition reference, not an acceptable continuous current. Provide a supply, switching circuit, connectors and wiring suited to the actual selected motor and load. Avoid overload and excessive temperature.
Installation and Compatibility
The short-shaft460SA illustration shows a D-bore metal pinion and29.5 x25.2 x67 mm overall envelope including output shaft and pinion. Long and ARP9 versions require their own shaft clearance. No.12,13 and14 are shown without a pinion; fit a compatible pinion separately. Existing pinion and mechanism geometry must match the chosen motor.
Use suitable2.8 mm female spade connections rather than soldering directly to the motor tabs. Standard illustrations mark the positive terminal at the red-marked tab and the negative terminal at the opposite tab. Check the selected motor markings before energizing. Ordinary460 motors have lower torque than480-size alternatives; do not assume equivalent operation in demanding electronic trigger-control assemblies. No.24 is the specifically marked N52 high-torque configuration supporting compatible electronic control, while the ARP9 high-speed version recommends a mechanical switch.
Separate Accessories
- Double-ball-bearing sleeve: one sleeve, color supplied at random; no motor included.
- Motor pinion puller: one extraction tool; no motor or replacement pinion included.
Choose these only when needed for a matching assembly. They are not automatically included with a motor selection.
Applications
For compatible hobby motor-drive mechanisms using the selected short, long or ARP9 motor envelope. Verify pinion mesh, shaft clearance and load before installation. Shaft format and numbered specification matter more than cosmetic rear-cap or sleeve color.
What's Included
One selected motor with the pinion only where specified, or one separately selected bearing sleeve or pinion-puller tool. Batteries, wiring harness, controller, complete mechanism and other accessories are not included.
FAQ
Does every long-shaft motor include a pinion?
No. No.12,13 and14 are shown without one. Review the selected model's pinion contents before ordering.
Is the99A value a continuous rating?
No. It is a stall-condition value for the standard460SA reference. Avoid stall and match the power circuit to the actual operating load.
Does the bearing-sleeve option include a motor?
No. The sleeve and pinion puller are separate accessory-only selections.
