Model and Speed Selection
The selector abbreviates nominal voltage as11 V; the numbered technical artwork specifies11.1 V. These speed references are configuration-specific and do not establish loaded speed or a universal continuous-duty rating.
| Model | rpm at 11.1 V | rpm at 7.4 V | Magnets | End cap | Pinion | Housing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 81 | 39000 | 26000 | N35H NdFeB | CNC aluminum | MIM steel D-bore | 8 slanted vents |

| 91 | 38000 | 25000 | N52 NdFeB | CNC aluminum | Gold-plated MIM steel D-bore | 6 flat vents |
| 92 | 26000 | 17000 | N52 NdFeB | CNC aluminum | Gold-plated MIM steel D-bore | 8 slanted vents |
| 93 | 35000 | 17000 | Wet-pressed ferrite | Nylon | Powder-metallurgy alloy | Closed |
| 94 | 31000 | 20000 | N35H NdFeB | PPS | Gold-plated MIM steel D-bore | Closed |
| 95 | 25000 | 16000 | N35H NdFeB | PPS | Gold-plated MIM steel D-bore | Closed |
92# additionally lists35, 000 rpm at 14.8 V.85# includes an internal cooling fan. Physical colors, labels, terminals and venting follow the selected option photo; a shared480 format does not make different windings interchangeable.
81# / CHF-480WA-8513G Performance at 11.1 V
This table applies to the 81# reference only. The other numbered motors have different windings and construction. Maximum-efficiency and maximum-output points are different conditions, and neither establishes a continuous-duty rating.
| Condition | Speed | Current | Torque | Output / efficiency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No load | 39, 000 rpm | 5.00 A | — | — |
| Stall | 0 rpm | 232.5 A | 422.5mN.m | Not an operating point |
| Maximum efficiency | 34, 012 rpm | 34.10 A | 54.03mN.m | 192.6 W /50.884% |
| Maximum output | 19, 500 rpm | 118.75 A | 211.25mN.m | 431.65 W /32.74% |
Stall current and torque describe a blocked rotor. Avoid stall and overload; choose the supply, wiring, switching path and cooling for the actual running load.
Electrical Connection and Installation
- Match shaft projection, pinion engagement, outline and terminal clearance before installation.
- Use a suitable high-current DC supply and switching system for the selected winding. Several numbered references specify an XT30 connection path and at least 1.0mm² conductors; verify the actual load and connection.
- For93#, use2.8 mm spade-terminal connections; avoid soldering directly to the motor terminals.
- High-speed motors can generate substantial heat. Reduce loading and provide cooling suited to the duty cycle.
- Speed reduces under load. Reducing motor drive speed can also reduce available torque; select by the actual mechanism requirements.
- Noise varies with speed and load. Avoid stalled operation, excessive loading and mismatched voltage.
Applications
For compatible compact hobby and model mechanisms requiring a 480-format brushed DC motor. Select by the numbered model, supply, mechanical fit and load. The motor format alone does not establish compatibility with a particular mechanism or controller.
What's Included
One selected numbered motor with its pictured shaft, pinion and spring arrangement. Alternative motors in comparison pictures are not a multi-motor package. The separately illustrated16-tooth gear set is an optional accessory and is not included in every motor option. Battery, controller, supply and external connection leads are not included.
FAQ
Do all 15 motors have NdFeB magnets?
No.93# uses wet-pressed ferrite; the other numbered configurations listN35H orN52 NdFeB as shown in the model table.
Can I apply the 81# current and torque table to every model?
No. It describes the CHF-480WA-8513G reference at 11.1 V; other windings have separate characteristics.
Is14.8 V specified for every option?
No. Only 92# has a 14.8 V /35, 000 rpm reference in its numbered artwork.
Are these the long-shaft480 motors?
No. These options use the 15.5 mm shaft-projection and 74 mm overall references. Check the chosen motor and pinion before installation.
