Overview
The CHIHAI MOTOR CHH-2225CU and CHH-2230CU are compact brushed DC motors with coreless construction and direct shaft output. Select the motor body length and its actual voltage/speed winding. The 2225CU has a 25 mm body, while the 2230CU uses a 30 mm body; both have a 22 mm diameter and 2 mm round shaft.
Features
- Permanent-magnet coreless rotor construction for low rotational inertia.
- Compact metal housing with laser-marked model identification.
- 6 V and 12 V winding choices with model-specific speed and load references.
- Three M 2.5 mounting holes on a 14 mm pitch circle.

Model and Winding Performance
Match both the model and winding voltage to its row. Torque is expressed in g¡cm. Rated-load data are operating references; stall torque/current describe a blocked shaft and must not be treated as continuous ratings. Rated-power figures keep their separate stated scope rather than implying identical input and mechanical output power.
| Model | Voltage | No-load rpm | No-load A | Rated g¡cm | Rated rpm | Rated A | Rated W | Stall g¡cm | Stall A |

Mechanical Fit and Installation
The 2225CU and 2230CU drawings share the 22 mm diameter, 2 mm shaft and 9 mm shaft projection, but their motor bodies are 25 and 30 mm long respectively. Use the drawing for the selected model and check mounting-screw depth, shaft coupling and rear-terminal clearance before assembly. Do not hammer the shaft, force an interference fit or allow side loads to distort the bearings.
Electrical Connection and Operation
Connect a suitable DC motor driver and the selected 6 V or 12 V supply to the two motor terminals. The rear reference photo identifies a positive terminal and a negative terminal; check the actual markings before connection. Reversing the motor leads reverses rotation. The performance tables identify the reference direction as CW(+); confirm the required viewing direction in the mechanism before use.
Allow current capacity for startup and provide current limiting or overcurrent protection. Avoid prolonged stall, overload, rapid reversals under load and moisture at the terminals. The 0.2 V or 0.5 V starting-voltage reference is not a substitute for the selected rated supply or a guarantee of starting under load. No feedback electronics or speed controller are built into these two-terminal motors.
Applications
Compact motion mechanisms, precision experiments, small robots and instrument drives where low inertia and limited installation space matter. Medical, inspection or handheld equipment projects require their own system validation; this motor does not establish certification or suitability for a complete device.
What's Included
One coreless brushed motor in the selected model and voltage/speed winding. Driver, power supply, encoder, gearbox, coupling, mounting hardware and complete equipment are not included.
FAQ
How do 2225CU and 2230CU differ?
The body lengths are 25 and 30 mm, and their winding performance differs. Match the model-specific table rather than assuming equal output.
Does either option include a gearbox or encoder?
No. Both are direct-output, two-terminal brushed motors.
Can I run either winding anywhere from 3 to 12 V?
Choose and use the rated 6 V or 12 V winding. The wider custom family range does not make every winding a universal-voltage motor.
Is stall torque a continuous working rating?
No. Use the rated-load reference for normal operation and avoid sustained stall.
