Overview
The ASAIR AF2602H03 dynamic torque sensor measures bidirectional torque from −3 to +3 N·m while monitoring rotational speed up to 8000 rpm. Strain-based measurement and non-contact power and signal transfer support rotating test rigs, motor characterization and precision torque-control applications.
Features
- Torque and speed measurement in a compact shaft-through design.
- ±0.3% FS accuracy with temperature compensation and digital filtering.
- RS485, current and frequency torque outputs; digital and pulse speed signals.
- Circular connector and eight-conductor shielded cable.
- Alloy-steel and lightweight aluminum construction with IP64 protection.

FS means full scale. The 5–15 kHz specification is a torque-frequency output, not a sampling or update rate. Overload capability is not a continuous measurement range. Keep torque, speed, coupling alignment and dynamic loads within the installation's operating limits.
Applications
- Stepper, brushless and servo-motor torque calibration, ripple analysis and power testing.
- Robot joints, end-effector force-control development and drivetrain efficiency studies.
- Small fastener tightening, valve actuator testing and precision assembly.
- Watch-movement assembly and compact motor laboratory test rigs.
Application images illustrate integration examples. Select an installation within the ±3 N·m measuring range; larger machinery shown does not increase this sensor's capacity.
Mechanical Installation
The drawing shows Ø8 g6 shafts, 16 mm shaft projections, Type C 3 × 3 × 12 mm keys, 50 mm, 35 mm, 68 mm and 102 mm references across its views. The connector brings overall height to 55 mm. Follow the 68 mm mounting reference, M3 depth-5 callouts and corresponding views in the drawing; drawing tolerance is ±0.1 mm.
Use suitable aligned couplings, secure the housing and relieve cable strain. Avoid imposing unnecessary radial or axial loads on the measuring shafts. Zero the installed assembly before testing.
Power and Signal Wiring

Match the required output interface and host settings before connection. Keep the dedicated signal-common conductor and power-negative conductor identified separately; follow the installation wiring requirements rather than assuming an unlisted jumper or connector pin assignment.
