Overview

The CHIHAI CHF-GM12-N30VA combines a compact N30 brushed DC motor with a metal reduction gearbox for small mechanisms. Select the package, reduction ratio and operating voltage to suit the required output speed and load.

Values are reference data for the stated voltage and ratio. No-load speed is not loaded operating speed. The 3.0 kg·cm (approximately 0.3 N·m) figure is a gearbox load limit, not a continuous torque rating. Avoid sustained stall, impact loads and forcing the output shaft.

FAQ

How do I choose the speed?

Match the operating voltage and reduction ratio to the performance table. More reduction generally gives lower output speed; allow for the drop from no-load to loaded speed.

Does every package include a controller or power supply?

No. Select the package explicitly. Motor-only includes neither, and the 12 V supply package does not include a speed controller.

Can the included 12 V supply provide the 6 V or 9 V performance?

Not directly. The included supply is 12 V. To operate at 6 V or 9 V, use a suitable regulated supply or compatible control equipment; do not expect the selected lower-voltage speed when applying 12 V directly.

Can I reverse the motor?

The brushed DC motor supports reversal by reversing polarity with an appropriate control circuit. Do not assume the optional speed-controller board provides reversing control.
