5 V Motor Performance
Reference driver: L 6219; two-phase, four-wire operation. Speed values below are the listed 1000PPS reference points. Holding torque is stationary and differs from pull-out torque during stepping. Nominal selector ratios and precise engineering ratios are distinct.

| 298 | 297.9 | 0.06 | 10 | Max 3 | 1.2 |
| 380 | 379.16 | 0.047 | 8 | Max 3 | 1.5 |
Maximum permitted gearbox torque 3.0kgf.cm. The 210: 1 ratio is a family reference and is not a selectable configuration. Choose from the actual steel/copper combinations shown in the options; the configurations are not an unrestricted matrix.
Drive Guidance
| Drive supply | Recommended frequency PPS/Hz | Recommended drive current |
|---|---|---|
| 12 V | 1000 | ≤0.25 A |
| 7.4 V | 1000 | ≤0.15 A |
| 6 V | 1000 | ≤0.10 A |
| 5 V | 1000 | ≤0.08 A |
| 3.7 V | 700 | ≤0.07 A |
Use a compatible bipolar stepper driver and set current for the actual winding and operating condition. Drive voltage must account for back EMF plus winding-current resistance drop. Monitor temperature during long-duration operation; reduce current or improve cooling if heating becomes excessive. These drive-supply references do not power the Hall logic connection. A stepper motor does not run correctly from a direct DC connection across a coil.
Two Separate Four-Wire Connections
Motor winding lead
| Wire | Phase |
|---|---|
| Black | A+ |
| Blue | B+ |
| Red | A- |
| Yellow | B- |
Motor coil A uses black/red; coil B uses blue/yellow. The two-phase-on sequence is A+ withB+, A- withB+, A- withB-, A+ withB-. Reverse the sequence to reverse rotation; direction also depends on the gearbox train. Disconnect power before changing wiring.
Hall encoder lead
| Wire | Function |
|---|---|
| Red | Hall VCC 3.3 V /5 V |
| Black | Hall GND |
| Yellow | C 2 /B output |
| Blue | C 1 /A output |
The same colors have different functions on the two connectors. Keep the motor and encoder harnesses separate. Hall logic uses 3.3 V or 5 V, with a common logic ground and compatible input levels; do not apply motor drive voltage to encoder signals. Encoder output reference is 7base pulses multiplied by actual gear reduction; decoder counting conventions can differ. The encoder provides feedback; an integrated servo drive, closed-loop controller or firmware is not included.
Mechanical Fit and Configuration
The selectable shaft-length attribute is 10 mm. Use the standard 10 mm engineering drawing to check projection, hole locations and clearances. Verify the actual selected shaft diameter and flat before machining or buying a coupling. The steel 100: 1 configuration retains its 10.4D 6.5 R-corner designation; confirm the selected assembly fit against the actual part. The 4.4 mm shaft drawing is a separate family reference and is not a shaft-length option here.
Steel-plate and copper-plate labels identify the selected gearbox frame configuration. Steel gearing/frame construction supports compact mechanical assembly; gear-accuracy promotion does not establish a certified positioning accuracy for a complete mechanism. Allow for backlash and the intended load.
Applications
Compact robotic hands, miniature manipulators, smart-home mechanisms, small pan/tilt systems and other positioning experiments where the shaft, torque, step rate and external controller meet the application requirements. A complete robot, gripper or gimbal is not included.
What's Included
One selected plate-and-ratio geared stepper motor with AB Hall feedback and the pictured separate motor/encoder connecting leads. A driver, power supply, MCU, servo controller, coupling and mounting bracket are not included.
FAQ
Is a closed-loop servo driver built in?
No. The motor includes encoder feedback; external drive, feedback processing and control software are required.
Can both four-wire leads use the same pinout?
No. One drives the stepper coils and the other powers/reads the Hall encoder. The colors have different functions.
Can I select a 4.4 mm shaft?
No. The retail shaft-length attribute is 10 mm; the 4.4 mm drawing is a separate family reference.
