Overview
The CoreWing F405 WING MINI V2 Flight Controller is a compact control board for fixed-wing, V-tail, flying-wing, VTOL, and FPV airframes. Its stacked 6-layer PCB design combines dedicated peripheral connections, PWM outputs, power regulation, and configurable VTX power management in a compact installation format.
Key Features
- Six-layer PCB with thicker copper construction.
- 9 PWM pin-header outputs plus 3 additional PWM solder-pad outputs.
- Up to 6 UART ports for expansion, including GPS, telemetry, HD or analog VTX, and external ELRS/CRSF receiver connections.
- Dedicated GPS, VTX, receiver, camera, telemetry, and SBUS connection points for organized wiring.
- Dual-sided solder pads allow either board side to face upward for installation flexibility.
- Supports HD and analog VTX connections with selectable VSW output: VBAT or 5V. VSW is set to VBAT by default.
- Switchable VTX power can be assigned to a 2-position transmitter switch to reduce VTX heat during ground setup.
- Compatible with ArduPilot, INAV, and Betaflight firmware through the CoreWing app interface.
- Wireless tuning is supported through the Wireless USB Extender SE, providing BLE and Wi-Fi connectivity, USB-C wired tuning, and expansion ports. Wireless tuning range is up to 30 meters and varies with installation, environment, and mobile device.

Details

The compact stacked design combines organized peripheral connections, configurable VTX power, and wireless setup support.

Dedicated connection points help keep GPS, receiver, camera, VTX, and telemetry wiring orderly in a fixed-wing build.

Dual-sided solder pads allow either side of the board to face upward when installation space or cable routing requires it.

The Wireless USB Extender SE adds BLE and Wi-Fi tuning, USB-C wired access, buzzer connection, and expansion ports.

BLE and Wi-Fi status indicators make it easier to confirm the active wireless connection during app setup.

Firmware updates can be initiated through the CoreWing app without a computer-based setup workflow.

Wireless app tuning supports flexible ground-based configuration, with range varying by installation, environment, and mobile device.

Assigning VTX power to a two-position transmitter switch can reduce video-transmitter heat before flight.

Up to six UART ports support expansion for GPS, telemetry, VTX, receivers, and related peripherals.

Nine PWM pin-header outputs plus three solder-pad outputs support flexible airframe and servo layouts.

Separate sensor and power layers, along with 5.2V flight-controller and 5V servo BECs, support organized power distribution.

HD and analog VTX connections are supported with a selectable VSW output of VBAT or 5V.

An optimized UART layout helps reduce port interference during DFU firmware updates.
