42GP-775 with incremental Hall encoder
This Jiali Motor 42GP-775 planetary gear motor includes a rear-mounted Hall encoder and detachable six-wire harness for rotation feedback. It is a separate product from the motor-only 42GP-775 without an encoder. Both selectable motor voltages and all packages in this listing include the encoder-equipped motor.
Choose your configuration
Select the rated DC voltage and no-load output speed, output shaft diameter, and accessory package. Actual speed decreases under load. Package names specify exactly which accessories are included.

Encoder and pinout
The illustrated incremental magnetic Hall encoder provides A and B square-wave outputs with a stated 90-degree phase separation. Each channel generates 20 pulses per motor revolution before the gearbox. Pulses per gearbox output revolution therefore depend on the reduction ratio and the counting method. The supplied six-wire pinout documents two output channels.
Encoder power is separate: the Hall sensor requires 5-12V DC. Never apply the motor's 24V supply to the encoder Vcc connection. Connector pitch is listed as 2.54 mm.
| Pin | Wire color | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Red | Motor + |
| 2 | Black | Motor - |
| 3 | Green | Hall sensor GND |
| 4 | Blue | Hall sensor Vcc: +5-12V DC |
| 5 | Yellow | Channel A output |
| 6 | White | Channel B output |
The source describes square wave as the standard output and sine wave as a custom request. This listing follows the illustrated A/B square-wave version. Its waveform sketch labels a half-period shift despite the written 90-degree specification; the English specifications follow the written 90-degree quadrature relationship.

The dimension drawing gives 5.18 for the second ratio, while the performance tables give 5.78; other ratios are rounded in the drawing. Select by voltage and RPM, and confirm the exact ratio if critical.
Wiring and operation
Use a DC supply matching the selected motor voltage. Do not connect the motor directly to household AC. Reversing the motor leads changes rotation direction; a compatible controller can provide speed and direction control. Electronic speed reduction may reduce available torque. Select using loaded operating figures and avoid overload or stalled operation.
Power-supply plug type, input range and controller electrical ratings are not specified in the source. The optional speed controller is not described as a closed-loop position controller. Confirm compatibility for your installation.
Change direction only through the motor leads or a compatible motor controller. Keep the encoder supply and signal pin connections as specified above.
