Overview
The CHIHAI MOTOR CHW-9L 370 is a compact DC gear motor for slow rotary mechanisms and turntable drives. Its worm-and-gear reduction provides a fixed 131: 1 ratio and an exposed nine-tooth output gear. Every package uses the 5 V motor; choose the motor alone or a package with lead, speed controller and 5 V supply.
Features
- 370-size brushed permanent-magnet motor with copper windings.
- Worm reduction and module 2.0 output gear with nine teeth.
- Compact mounting ears and a low-profile metal gearbox.
- Push-on lead and controller packages available for easier connection and speed adjustment.

Output Gear and Mechanical Fit
Match the mating gear to the nine-tooth, module 2.0, 20° output profile. Use the preserved mounting and gear drawings before machining an adapter. The 61.5 ×31.3 mm body reference excludes mounting-ear extensions; the mounting drawing gives 68.2 ×41.7 mm overall references. Keep the exposed gear guarded and avoid axial impact, misalignment and excessive radial load.
Connection and Speed Control
For the controller package, connect the motor through the push-on lead to the controller motor output, and connect a 5 V DC supply to its power input. Match the marked power-input polarity. The knob adjusts speed and includes the illustrated switch function; the indicator shows switch/power status.
The controller input requires DC. Never connect household AC directly to the board or motor. Reverse motor leads to change rotation when necessary; do not reverse the controller power-input polarity. The polarity illustration marks the positive and negative motor terminals; check the actual terminals before connection. An illustrated timer is a wiring example and is not an additional selectable package item.
Performance and Operation
At 5 V, the reference no-load speed is 18 rpm and rated-load speed 14 rpm. Rated torque is 850 g·cm; the 3.5 kg·cm stall reference is not a continuous torque rating. The performance plot is a 5 V reference, with torque on the horizontal axis and speed, current, power and efficiency scales on the left. Provide startup-current capacity, overcurrent protection and ventilation. Avoid stall and abrupt reversing under load.
Applications
Small rotary displays, turntable mechanisms and other slow-speed geared-motion projects. Suitability depends on mating-gear geometry, required torque, duty cycle and mounting; the motor is not a complete load-rated table or robot drive assembly.
What's Included
One CHW-9L 3705 V motor and only the accessories listed for the selected package. Internal-gear and rotor pictures illustrate components inside the motor, not extra loose parts.
FAQ
Can I select a different voltage or reduction ratio?
No. These four packages all use 5 V and 131: 1 reduction. The wider custom family range is not a selectable winding here.
Does Motor Only include a power supply?
No. A 5 V supply is included only in the package that explicitly names it.
Can I use stall torque as continuous working torque?
No. Use the rated torque and speed reference for normal operation and avoid prolonged stall.
Can the controller connect directly to mains AC?
No. It requires a correctly polarized DC supply; use the 5 V motor supply rating.
