Overview
The Yahboom Cool Cooler Pi50 is an active cooler designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5. It combines an aluminum alloy heat sink base, a PWM speed-adjustable cooling fan, and a thermally conductive silicone pad. Air is drawn in from the top and guided through the heat sink channels to carry heat away, helping the Raspberry Pi 5 maintain a suitable operating temperature under high-load conditions.
Key Features
- Raspberry Pi 5 special interface
- PWM adjustable speed fan (temperature control + PWM speed adjustment)
- Aluminum alloy heat sink with anodized aluminum process
- Thermally conductive silicone pad (thermal conductivity: 5 W/mk)
- Two mounting holes installation; fan connects via 4-pin JST connector

Details

Thermal testing compares idle and full-load CPU temperatures across common Raspberry Pi 5 cooling setups.

Cool Cooler Pi50 combines a PWM fan, anodized aluminum heatsink, and thermal pad to manage Raspberry Pi 5 heat.

Designed specifically for Raspberry Pi 5, the kit includes the active cooler assembly and connection lead.

A larger fan and heatsink footprint increase airflow and surface area for heat dissipation.

Mounting uses the Raspberry Pi 5’s two cooler holes, then plugs into the 4‑pin JST connector for PWM control.

Wire colors are labeled for quick, correct connection: power, ground, PWM, and tach (FG).

PWM speed curves ramp fan output with temperature to balance cooling performance and noise.

The 6063‑T5 extruded heatsink uses deep fin channels to increase surface area and improve convection.

Top-down intake directs air through the heatsink channels to carry heat away from the board.

A 5 W/mK silicone thermal pad transfers heat into the heatsink while remaining electrically non-conductive.

Thermal imaging highlights lower hotspot temperatures under the same load when using the Pi50 active cooler.

Mechanical drawings and key specs help confirm fitment for cases, standoffs, and adjacent components.
