Working Principle
- Use IO to trigger ranging and give a high-level signal of at least 10us.
- The module automatically sends 8 square waves of 40khz, and automatically detects whether there is a signal return.
- If there is a signal return, a high level is output through the IO; the duration of the high level is the time from the ultrasonic wave to its return.
Test distance = (high level time * sound speed(340M/S)) / 2
Ultrasonic timing diagram notes
- CH1: 10 microsecond high-level transmit signal
- CH2: received return signal
- The echo level output is proportional to the detection distance
Interface (Pinout)
VCC, Trig. (Control terminal), Echo (Receiving end), GND
Note: The module should be plugged on the circuit board before powering on to avoid high-level malfunctions. If it happens, power on again to solve it.

Details

Accurate 5V ultrasonic ranging for robotics and DIY projects, with a compact board and 4-pin TTL interface.

Ideal for smart cars and development-board experiments where reliable obstacle detection is needed.

The vertical XH2.54 4-pin header plugs into compatible sockets or can be soldered for a solid build.

Wiring stays simple with VCC, TRIG, ECHO, and GND clearly mapped for common microcontroller I/O.

Works neatly on small robot platforms for front-facing distance sensing and obstacle avoidance.

Get a clear view of both sides of the PCB for easier integration into tight enclosures or chassis mounts.

Dimensions and core specifications help confirm fit and performance before adding it to a robotics build.

Includes the ultrasonic module and a free 10-pin DuPont jumper cable set for quick prototyping.
