The Hangkai Microelectronic HKVL-55 is a compact hollow six-axis force/torque sensor for robotic wrists, production-line integration and machinery testing. Its aluminum-alloy body measures 55mm in diameter and 15mm high, with a 15mm central bore. Choose a low-range 55A, 55B or 55C sensor; the three listed sensor options are RS485 configurations.
Choose Your Measurement Range
| Model | Fx / Fy / Fz, each | Mx / My / Mz, each | Listed interface |
|---|---|---|---|
| 55A | 30N | 1.5N·m | RS485 |
| 55B | 50N | 2N·m | RS485 |
| 55C | 100N | 4N·m | RS485 |
Ratings apply separately to each named axis. Select a range for the expected force and moment components, including tooling mass and mounting leverage. These ratings are not robot payload specifications.

FS means full scale. Specifications are supplier data. Resolution and accuracy describe different properties; the overload level is not a recommended continuous working load.
Hollow Structure and Mounting
The center opening can assist routing and compact end-tool integration. Supplier materials describe multi-axis calibration, low cross-talk, high-signal-to-noise acquisition, integrated electronics and overload protection. No numerical cross-talk limit is provided.
The supplied drawing shows a 55mm body, 15mm central bore and 20mm pitch-circle callout. Front mounting includes three M3 threads with 5mm thread depth and 6mm drill depth, plus three 3mm locating holes with 3mm depth. Rear mounting includes six M3 threads with the same thread/drill depths and two 3mm locating holes with 3mm depth. Review the full drawing in Visual Details for spacing, orientation and the 14.50mm side callout before machining a mounting plate.
Interface and PC Connection
The Gallery and series literature illustrate RS485, CAN and EtherCAT capabilities. The actual 55A/55B/55C sales labels offered here specify RS485; they do not include all protocols simultaneously. Confirm the delivered RS485 protocol, connector pinout, cable, sample-rate setting and available PC software before integration.
RS485-to-USB and CAN-to-USB adapters are separate accessory options, each supplied without a force sensor. Select the RS485 adapter for an appropriate RS485 PC connection. The CAN adapter is for a compatible CAN configuration and does not convert an RS485 sensor into CAN or establish CAN-FD support.
Package Scope
- 55A / 55B / 55C RS485: one sensor in the selected measurement range.
- RS485-to-USB adapter only: one PC interface accessory; sensor excluded.
- CAN-to-USB adapter only: one PC interface accessory; sensor excluded.
Paired sensor views show different faces of the series, not two sensors in one package. All three sensor options retain their shared source product image. Custom quotations and service options are omitted. Mounting fixtures, robot arm and other demonstration equipment are not listed as included. The source does not specify a numerical IP rating, operating-temperature range or cable length.
