Performance Reference
These reference rows apply to the specified 3900, 8000 and 16000 rpm windings only. Full rated-load and stall data are not supplied for the 12 V 6000 rpm or 24 V 12000 rpm choices. No-load and rated speed tolerance is ±10% in the reference table. Rated torque uses g·cm; stall torque uses kg·cm. Stall values are not continuous operating ratings.
| Winding | No-load mA | Rated rpm | Rated g·cm | Rated A | Stall kg·cm | Stall A |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 V /3900 rpm | ≤350 | 3300 | 200 | ≤2.0 | ≥1.0 | ≤9.0 |
| 12 V /8000 rpm | ≤400 | 6700 | 400 | ≤3.5 | ≥2.0 | ≤18.5 |
| 24 V /16000 rpm | ≤500 | 10000 | 800 | ≤6.5 | ≥3.0 | ≤37.0 |
Hall Encoder Connection
Encoder options only. The order below follows the connector photo from top to bottom, with the motor body to the left and socket on the right. Match the actual markings and connector orientation before connection.
| Photo order | Signal | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Top | M 2 | Motor supply negative |
| 2 | VCC | Hall supply positive, 3.3 V or 5 V |
| 3 | C 1 / A | Encoder phase A output |
| 4 | C 2 / B | Encoder phase B output |
| 5 | GND | Hall supply ground |
| Bottom | M 1 | Motor supply positive |
Power Hall VCC at 3.3 V or 5 V, with a compatible logic-level receiver. Never connect the 6/12/24 V motor supply to Hall VCC or signal pins. A/B feedback provides relative motion information; it does not provide absolute position after power-up. The base signal is 17 PPR at the direct motor shaft. Controller edge-counting modes can change counted edges without changing this base specification.
The performance reference labels M 1+/M 2− as counterclockwise and M 1−/M 2+ as clockwise. Confirm rotation from the actual viewing side with a brief low-load test; do not reverse Hall power connections.
Mechanical Fit and Operation
The dimension drawing shows the 22 mm shaft reference, while the photo compares 12 mm and 22 mm examples. An 18.5 mm choice is also present in the actual stocked selector. Fit your design to the selected shaft length and allow space for the encoder cover and connector where fitted. Avoid overlong mounting screws, shaft impacts, excessive radial loading, stall and abrupt reversal under load. Use a motor driver and supply rated for the selected winding and startup current; provide overcurrent protection and ventilation.
Applications
Robotics, small automation mechanisms, motion experiments and projects requiring a compact direct-drive DC motor. Encoder-equipped versions support speed and relative-rotation measurement with a compatible external controller.
What's Included
One motor in the selected version, shaft length and voltage/speed winding. The Hall-encoder version includes the pictured matching connector lead. A driver, power supply, gearbox, mounting bracket and complete robot are not included. Internal rotor images show construction inside the motor.
FAQ
Does the standard motor have Hall feedback?
No. Choose With Hall Encoder for AB feedback.
Does this motor contain a reduction gearbox?
No. Speed and 17 PPR feedback refer to the direct motor shaft.
Can I apply motor voltage to the Hall circuit?
No. The Hall circuit uses a separate 3.3 V or 5 V supply.
Are all performance rows valid for all winding choices?
No. Match the voltage and no-load speed to the specific reference row; the 6000 and 12000 rpm windings have no full performance row.
